Headfirst Baseball West Coast started off with weekend camps for 12u players. The idea was to bring professional instruction to young players. The mechanics of the game do not change from Little League all the way to the Major Leagues. A solid swing is solid at any level. Likewise, a swing with holes in it is susceptible at any level. Headfirst staff decided to work with small groups to teach the same approach to baseball that is taught at the collegiate and pro levels in order to maximize players’ ability and enjoyment of the game. Over the years Headfirst has grown and now holds Headfirst Summer Camps throughout the summer in addition to two or three more camps that are held during the school year. The Headfirst Baseball Camps are usually an overwhelming sucess due to to the attention to mechanical detail at any position on the baseball field. Along with a better understanding of the game, every kid in every camp will recieve a Headfirst T-shirt, and a select few will recieve awards for their performance and effort. Dust Off Your Glove
Spring Training for Little Leaguers!This camp is now in it’s 14th year and former campers are now off to college and professional baseball. A great camp that was started before Headfirst Baseball West Coast was even developed in 1997. The instructors brought what they learned directly from spring training and created a camp.A two day camp for the serious ball player, with an unbelievable staff led by local former pro ball players Michael and/or Mario Iglesias. Young players will work closely with our staff, learning the same fundamentals of baseball that are taught at the professional level.This camp is limited to 30 players!

9TH ANNUAL SUMMER CAMP
This is our most popular camp. Kids come to learn and have fun. We encourage kids to learn on and off the field with detailed instruction on the field and a written assignment to take home. Each session is limited to 24 players with two main instructors and two assistants.

Camp Content We will cover mechanics ranging from throwing, pitching, fielding, batting,bunting, slides and dives, catching and much, more! We will also have team competitions and individual awards given at the end.

Daily Format
2 hours of instruction by former pro players and college players.-1 hour of instructional practice with each group and team competitions.
Lunch (not provided)
1 1/2 hour game (our chance to instruct in live situations and monitorindividual progress.

SPRING BREAK CAMPS
Using the same winning formula. This camp is a two day event that will surely be the highlight of your child’s spring break. We will cover mechanics of every positiion. The camp will be divided into two teams, which will compete throughout the day in team competitions and games.
