With many local players taking lessons and participating in Headfirst camps,  we decided to recruit top local talent at the 12u age to participate in a showcase tournament in 2001.  The idea was for players to compete against other top players in the area in a weekend tournament style showcase.  The result was overwhelmingly impressive for the parents, coaches and players!  In short, the players created excitement, quality baseball and a razor sharp competitive atmosphere that has continued to attracttop talent over the years.  After being recruited and asked to play, Headfirst Staff drafts teams for the weekend and those teams compete against one another for the championship trophies.  There is also an all-tournament team, which consists of the top performers over the weekend, radar gun readings, and a home run derby.  Former players are now playing college baseball and pro. baseball.  The Headfirst Showcase Tournaments are a great way to share a competitive and fun weekend with other serious baseball families who want to line up and go head to head with the best players around!
