You now have a chance to refine your hitting or pitching skills from Stanford instructors at Stanford’s new, state of the art indoor facility!  This 10 week program consists of pitching classes and hitting classes on Thursday evenings.  The classes will be held at the Indoor Stanford Batting Cages at Sunken Diamond.  Legendary Stanford instructor Rich Weidinger will teach the hitting classes while former Stanford pitcher and current Stanford coach, Mario Iglesias, will head the pitching classes.

The hour long classes will start on Thursday, October 1st and end on December 10th. (Please note: There will be no classes on Nov. 12th as it is NCAA dead week)

Pitching Classes

Program will cover areas of position to give each pitcher the tools necessary for success on the mound. This includes throwing mechanics, pitching mechanics, mental approach, pitch grips, pickoffs, holding runners, injury prevention, conditioning, and more. The goal for each pitcher is to develop more consistency on the mound by incorporating correct mechanics and a strong mental game.  We will also emphasize and cover the importance of velocity, giving tips to increase speed and we will monitor velocity with a radar gun over the course of the class.

Hittng Classes

Program will include hitting drills and an approach that will allow young players to improve right away and in the future.  Hitters will work atstations, including tee work, front toss, short toss, live station, fastball and curve ball machines and more.  Coach Weidinger brings a wealth of experience to the class and will work with young hitters to give them a strong approach to become an advanced hitter.
